T-Com offer of Data services for Mobile Network Operators includes following:

  • Frame Relay
  • ATM
  • Signaling
  • Synchronization (Interconnection)
  • SMS Service

Description:

Frame Relay

Frame relay is the most popular communication protocol for data transfer. Frame relay is an ideal solution for data transfer from branch offices to one, central location. Therefore, the service is recommended to all users with requirements for point-to-multipoint connections.

The frame relay protocol is characterized by high flexibility, designed in a way that with knowing the character of data traffic, the usage of communication resources can be maximized.

Depending on real needs, the customer can choose the range between guaranteed (CIR= Committed Information Rate) and maximum (EIR= Excessive Information Rate) speed.
There is an appropriate price list for this kind of data transfer, which allows considerable savings and at the same time increases the efficiency in utilization of network resources.
The service is available in a wide bandwidth range from 32 kbps up to 34 Mbps.

ATM

ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) is packet–switching technology, which supports different sources of information flows and high transfer capacities. It is a fully managed end-to-end (end-to-end routes identified as virtual connections) service that can handle all types of information: voice, data, image and full-motion video without compromising the unique needs of each application.

Advantages of an ATM protocol are best shown in the scenario where several locations are connected to a central location, due to its flexibility or possibility of creating virtual connections.

In other words this network enables connectivity by using a flexible bandwidth, efficient implementation of business applications with multimedia content, realization of videoconference connections and creation of virtual private networks.

ATM service is recommended for connecting with speeds higher than 2 Mbps and also for use on central locations, where all data traffic is aggregated.

Signaling

Via signaling links, T-Com enables the operators to transmit signaling messages towards national and international operators worldwide (roaming).

Signaling links can be used for the transfer of ISUP messages (‘ISDN User Part' – group of signaling functions for managing voice calls), SCCP messages (‘Signaling Connection Control Part' – group of signaling functions for transfer of non-circuit related signaling messages, e.g. for transfer of SMS messages) and STP messages (‘Signaling Transfer Point' – Signaling Point/Switch which can transfer incoming signaling messages towards other signaling points).

Synchronization

Through the synchronization service, T-Com provides the operators with a clock source of high accuracy (in micro seconds).

The synchronization service is realized through transmission facilities between the operator's and T-Com network at the location requested by the operator.

SMS Service (Interconnection)

SMS service enables, through specific connection, transfer of SMS messages from the operator's SMS center to T-Com SMS center and termination of SMS messages in T-Com network.
